English and Social Studies Teacher

Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and qualified English & Social Studies (SST) Teacher to deliver engaging and effective instruction in English language and Social Studies subjects. The teacher will be responsible for fostering critical thinking, communication skills, and a strong understanding of social, historical, and civic concepts among students. Key Responsibilities Plan, prepare, and deliver well-structured lessons in English and Social Studies as per the prescribed curriculum. Teach English language skills including reading, writing, grammar, vocabulary, and literature. Teach Social Studies subjects such as History, Geography, Civics, and Economics (as applicable). Design and conduct assessments, assignments, projects, and examinations to evaluate student progress. Encourage critical thinking, discussion, and analytical skills through interactive teaching methods. Maintain classroom discipline and create a positive, inclusive learning environment. Use innovative teaching strategies, digital tools, and teaching aids to enhance learning. Maintain accurate records of attendance, assessments, and student performance. Provide constructive feedback and academic support to students. Participate in curriculum planning, staff meetings, training programs, and school activities. Communicate effectively with parents/guardians regarding student progress when required. Qualifications & Experience Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in English, Social Studies, Humanities, or a related field. B.Ed. is a must Proven teaching experience in English and/or Social Studies at the relevant grade level. Familiarity with curriculum standards (CBSE/ICSE or equivalent).
