Engineering Squad Lead - Backend

As the Engineering Squad Lead at Modulr, you will play a vital role in building an autonomous, high-performing squad. Your responsibilities will include leading a team of approximately six software engineers, facilitating agile ceremonies, setting and tracking performance goals, promoting high standards of code quality, and fostering a culture of experimentation within the squad. The ideal candidate for this role will have expertise in Java or similar object-oriented languages, experience with open-source technologies like Spring and Hibernate, and a strong understanding of cloud computing, AWS systems and frameworks, RESTful APIs, Microservices architecture, and relational databases. Additionally, experience in DevOps practices, testing methodologies, software development, technical team leadership, and problem-solving skills will be essential for success in this role.
