What would you do? We are looking for a skilled Power BI Developer to support asset health monitoring and reporting across critical electricity transmission assets including cables, LV systems, and transformers. The role involves developing interactive dashboards and visual models in Power BI, connecting to various backend data sources, and enabling operational and strategic insights for asset management teams.
  
What are we looking for? 
Experience working with Power BI in a reporting or analytics capacity. Strong hands-on skills in:DAX for calculated columns, measures, and KPIs.Power Query (M) for data transformation.Data modelling (star schema, relationships, hierarchies). Experience connecting to and integrating with backend data sources such as:SQL Server, Azure SQL, Excel, SharePoint, or REST APIs. Ability to gather business requirements and translate them into clear, actionable dashboards. Strong understanding of data refresh schedules, Power BI Service configuration, and report sharing best practices. Experience with asset-related data (e.g., condition monitoring, inspections, outages, maintenance logs) is a strong advantage Knowledge of electricity transmission asset types (transformers, cables, LV systems). Experience working with enterprise asset management systems like IBM Maximo, or GIS systems. Familiarity with Power Platform tools (Power Automate, Power Apps) for workflow integration. Understanding of asset performance indicators (e.g., health index, failure rate, risk score). 
 Roles and Responsibilities:  Design and develop interactive Power BI dashboards and reports to visualize asset health, performance, and risk metrics. Work with business stakeholders to understand asset management needs and translate them into effective visual models. Perform data modelling in Power BI (using DAX and Power Query) to support reporting on asset condition, failure history, and maintenance trends. Connect Power BI reports to various backend systems (e.g., SQL Server, Excel, SharePoint, Azure, or EAM platforms like SAP or Maximo). Automate data refreshes and manage dataflows, gateways, and workspace configuration in the Power BI Service. Ensure data governance, access control, and versioning within Power BI environments. Collaborate with asset engineers, reliability experts, and data teams to validate data accuracy and reporting logic.
