Summary:

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Engineering Development Manager to lead our Mobile Full Stack development team. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in React Native/Flutter, modern front-end frameworks, and cloud-native architectures, coupled with proven leadership skills to drive high-performance development teams. This role requires a hands-on technical leader who can mentor engineers, manage project delivery, and collaborate cross-functionally.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Oversee architecture, design, and development of scalable and performant enterprise API, web and mobile applications.
  • Stay up to date with relevant technology ecosystem trends, SDK updates, and evolving tech stacks. Identify training needs and foster a culture of innovation and learning.
  • Ability to design solutions, code (if required), review code, provide technical guidance, and foster a culture of innovation and continuous learning.
  • Ensure high availability, performance, scalability, observability and supportability of applications.
  • Independently manage 23 scrum teams, foster delivery through best practices in engineering including agile processes, CI/CD, code review, test automation, security, and performance.
  • Drive agile ceremonies effectively, ensuring timely & quality delivery.
  • Lead and mentor the team members. Foster teamwork and collaboration
  • Define and track KPIs for team performance, app performance, and user adoption.
  • Collaborate with product managers, designers, and QA teams to define project scope, roadmap, timelines and deliverables.
  • Support hiring, onboarding, and performance evaluations for team members.
  • Manage external vendors or third-party integrations where required.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • Manage and mentor a team of developers

Education and/or Experience:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • 8+ years of software development experience with strong exposure to mobile app architecture.
  • 5+ years of experience in managing or leading engineering teams.
  • Proven experience with both iOS and Android platforms (native or cross-platform).
  • Experience with additional UI technologies such as React or Vue.js is a plus
  • Strong backend development knowledge (Node.js, Java, Python, .Net or similar) with API design and integration skills.
  • Deep understanding of full stack development — mobile/web, APIs, backend, and cloud (preferably AWS/GCP/Azure).
  • Experience with modern DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, Git workflows, and automated testing.
  • Familiarity with containerization (Docker/Kubernetes) is a plus.
  • Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and communication skills.
  • Demonstrated focus on quality, delivery timelines, and team development
  • Passion for innovation, continuous improvement, and engineering excellence.

Desirable Skills and Expertise:

  • Team leadership
  • Scrum
  • Expertise operating in an SOA / microservices environment, architecting solutions.
  • Comfortable with all layers of the application stack, APIs, web/SPAs, mobile apps, relational databases
  • Solid understanding of mobile app development and the Apple/Google ecosystems. Experience with native, hybrid, or cross-platform frameworks (React Native/Flutter).
  • Experience working on development projects with dependencies on other development teams and system.
  • Experience working in a US-based onshore organization
  • Experience with AWS services
