Engineering Manager- Java (Stakeholder mgmt Exp)

As an Engineering Manager at our company, you will play a crucial role in leading a team of 10-12 members. Your primary responsibility will be to guide and lead the development efforts of the team, actively participating in the development process alongside them. You will coordinate, design, and facilitate project implementation efficiently and cost-effectively, ensuring the overall objectives of project delivery are met in terms of scope, quality, budget, and timeline. Additionally, you will be accountable for planning, scheduling, monitoring, and reporting on project activities to ensure successful delivery to project milestones. Key Responsibilities: - Lead and manage a team of 10-12 members - Coordinate, design, and facilitate project implementation - Plan and schedule project activities - Establish project roles and responsibilities - Monitor and report on project quality and progress - Ensure project objectives are met within scope, budget, and timeline - Implement sound project management practices - Coach and drive the project team throughout the project life cycle - Build and maintain project team spirit and motivation - Set standards and expectations for team member performance - Develop work methods to enhance team function and cohesiveness - Ensure training needs of the team are met - Report on budgets, revenue margins, staff utilization, and project status - Support the sales team in bid/tender responses - Ensure project improvements feed back into the pre-sale process - Contribute to excellence in all areas of Service Delivery - Carry out other Project Management duties as assigned Qualifications Required: - Background in Java - Experience in Java 8, Spring, Spring Boot - Proficiency in building distributed systems and microservices - Agile experience - Minimum 2 years of managerial experience - Techno-managerial experience - Experience in Service Delivery - Managing teams of at least 15-18 people - Stakeholder management experience - Strategic planning skills - Knowledge of project management practices, tools, and methodologies - Experience in the Utilities domain (preferred) - Cloud native development experience (a plus) The selection process includes Technical Round 1, Techno-managerial Round 2, and HR discussion.
