As an Engineering Manager at our company, your role will involve leading a team of 10-12 members, guiding and leading their development efforts, and actively participating in the development process. You will be responsible for coordinating, designing, and facilitating the implementation of projects efficiently and cost-effectively, ensuring project delivery aligns with scope, quality, budget, and timeline objectives. Your key responsibilities will include: - Establishing and resourcing project roles and responsibilities - Defining tasks required for successful delivery to project milestones - Monitoring and reporting on quality and progress - Ensuring project objectives are met within scope, budget, and timeline - Developing, implementing, and maintaining sound project management practices - Coaching and driving the client and project team throughout the project life cycle - Building and maintaining project team spirit and motivation - Setting performance standards and expectations for team members - Developing work methods to enhance team function and cohesiveness - Ensuring training needs of the team are fulfilled - Reporting on budgets, forecasting figures, and project status - Supporting the sales team in bid/tender responses - Ensuring project improvements are integrated back into the pre-sale process - Contributing as a senior member of the Professional Services team - Carrying out other Project Management duties as requested by your manager Qualifications required for this role include: - Background in Java with experience in Java 8, Spring, and Spring Boot - Experience in building distributed systems and microservices - Proficiency in Agile methodologies - Minimum 2 years of experience in a managerial role - Techno-managerial experience - Experience in Service Delivery - Managing teams of at least 15-18 people - Stakeholder management experience - Strategic planning experience - Knowledge of project management practices, tools, and methodologies - Experience in the Utilities domain (an added advantage) - Cloud-native development experience (a plus) In addition to the above responsibilities and qualifications, you will be involved in a selection process that includes a Technical Round 1, Techno-Managerial Round 2, and an HR discussion.
