Engineering Manager - IT

As the Developer Enablement Leader, you will play a crucial role in shaping the future of engineering practices by evaluating, implementing, and driving the adoption of cutting-edge technologies and best practices. Your main responsibility will be to empower engineers to build high-quality software faster and more efficiently. Additionally, you will enhance the internal development platform to provide a robust foundation for all teams. **Key Responsibilities:** - Lead the evaluation, implementation, and adoption of cutting-edge technologies and best practices - Empower engineers to build high-quality software efficiently - Enhance the internal development platform for all teams **Qualifications Required:** - Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field - 12+ years of experience in software development, with a focus on Java - Deep understanding of object-oriented design principles and patterns - Proven track record of driving adoption of developer tools and best practices - Hands-on experience with modern development tools and technologies (e.g., Git, Gradle, Tekton, OpenShift / Kubernetes, SonarQube, Checkmarx, FOSSA) - Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., PCF, Azure, GCP) - Familiarity with agile development methodologies and a passion for Extreme Programming (XP) - Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills - Strong problem-solving and analytical skills - Ability to work independently and as part of a team **Additional Details:** This role requires experience with developer enablement initiatives, DevSecOps practices, API design and development, microservices architecture, mentoring junior developers, and knowledge about Large Language Models (LLMs), Agentic AI, and Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG). **Key Skills:** - Java, Spring Boot (mandatory), Angular, React (good to have) - Developer Enablement - CI/CD - Cloud Technologies (GCP Preferably) - Agile Development - Communication - Problem-Solving - Technical Leadership - Software Architecture Patterns - Test-Driven Development (TDD) - SQL Databases (e.g., SQL Server, PostgreSQL, Oracle) - NoSQL Databases (e.g., MongoDB, Cassandra) If you are passionate about empowering developers, driving innovation, and shaping the future of software development, we encourage you to apply for this exciting opportunity.
