Engineering Manager- Automation QA/SDET

Role Overview: As a team leader, you will be responsible for leading and prioritizing the team's daily tasks, making decisions based on changing business priorities, structuring and facilitating the team's workflow and QA process, and coordinating with internal stakeholders to translate their requirements into technical requirements for the team. You will also play a key role in fostering the team's evolution and growth, including conducting 1:1s and performance evaluations, as well as planning for future resource requirements and collaborating with hiring efforts. Key Responsibilities: - Lead the team in daily tasks, prioritize them, and make decisions based on changing business priorities - Structure and facilitate the team's workflow and QA process - Coordinate with internal stakeholders to translate their requirements into the team's technical requirements - Foster the team's evolution and members" growth through activities such as 1:1s and performance evaluations - Plan for future resource requirements and collaborate with hiring efforts Qualifications: - 10+ years of relevant experience, with at least 6 years of hands-on experience in automation - 2+ years of experience in team management and people management - Track record of designing, developing, and supporting highly scalable automation solutions - Professional experience in a technical management or leadership role - Technical mindset with understanding of complex systems design - Ability to understand and analyze technical specifications and design test cases - Bias towards action with a "Get Things Done" attitude - Solutions-oriented mindset - Ability to maintain high performance in a high-energy and fast-paced work environment - Excellent oral, written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills - Bilingual in English and Japanese is nice to have, but not required.
