Engineering Management

• Expediting project deliverables with interdisciplinary functions to meet targets and schedules
• Ensure proper inputs on time to concerned departments to enable timely issue of deliverables
• Ensure seamless workflow in the project to avoid delays
• To Assist the project manager in keeping a tab on deliverables and timelines, MTO/drawings/3D Model reviews, and coordination with the various disciplines involved
• Overall understanding of engineering of Offshore Platforms/ Offshore sub-structures across all disciplines such as Structural, Mechanical, Piping, Electrical, Instrumentation, Telecom, Architectural, HVA/C, Process, Design Safety
• Should have experience in co-ordinating with the 3rd Party Engg. sub-contractors/ in-house Engg. department, preparing DCI & MCI, Engg. Schedules, and conducting 30-60-90%Model reviews

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Prompt identification of issues and risks related to the engineering deliverables and implementing the required mitigation actions

2. Organize the project engineering activities and the assigned resources (engineering specialists, subcontractors, tools, etc.), providing all needed explanation/support.

3. Ensure timely delivery of technical specifications, drawings, calculations, etc., and ensure on-time approval of the same from the client/statutory bodies.

4. Ensure a detailed engineering scope of work is prepared for the complete project.

5. Coordinate preparation of detailed schedules and manpower plans for engineering activities.

6. Coordinate monthly meetings among disciplines and the company to ensure common goals and objectives are met.

7. Document design changes and impact on cost and schedule.

8. Provide inputs to the Project Manager in the definition and preparation of the project procedures and guidelines, and ensure that they are fully met in all the engineering activities and in their outputs (project specifications and documentation)

9. Regularly inform the Project Manager on the performance and the status of the project engineering activities

10. Coordinate the activities of the Engineering subcontractors, collect and verify their activity reports and authorize their payment within his/her limits of authorization

11. Provide inputs to the Project Managers in the evaluation of the project changes (evaluating their feasibility, identifying the technical solution to implement and identifying the required resources) including the ones that require a change order (to be discussed with the Client)
