As a trusted technical lead, you'll become the cornerstone of our engineering excellence, developing deep understanding of our platform architecture and ensuring flawless implementation from design to production. Working closely with the head of engineering, you'll establish high standards and build products that consistently exceed user expectations.

Your responsibilities include

• Ensure code excellence

  - Oversee code quality and consistency, implementing appropriate architectural patterns and practices across the codebase

• Drive component reusability

  - Champion the adoption of shared services and strategic reuse of components to improve development efficiency

• Maintain production stability

  - Take ownership of operational stability, incident handling, comprehensive testing, and application monitoring

• Optimize delivery pipelines

  - Design and refine end-to-end build and release pipelines including CI/CD for reliable, consistent delivery

• Lead AI innovation

  - Advocate for emerging AI technologies to enhance coding practices and drive engineering efficiency

You possess the discernment to evaluate engineering work quality and the leadership skills to mentor team members toward optimal solutions. You should bring the following skills and experiences

• Proficient in software development using Java using Spring Boot and the Spring framework ecosystem
• Strong public cloud experience, particularly with Microsoft Azure architecture, services, and best practices
• Experience in modern software architecture using synchronous, asynchronous integration technologies using RabbitMQ, Azure Service Bus, or Kafka, and other technologies
• Proficient in relational and/or document-based database technologies covering conceptual domain model design and its physical implementation
• Demonstrated ability to balance hands-on coding with architectural vision and technical leadership
• Experience implementing AI/ML solutions in enterprise applications is a plus
• Knowledge in software development using NodeJS and any major UI framework, such as Angular, React, Svelte, etc. a plus.
• An understanding of insurance/reinsurance business is a plus.
