Role: Hands-on Engineering Lead Experience Level: 8-12 years Location : Gurgaon Working mode: Hybrid Mode Role Overview : We are looking for a technically strong and delivery-focused Engineering Lead to guide a team of full-stack developers while actively contributing to core development tasks. This role involves approximately 30% hands-on coding , with the remaining focus on technical leadership, architecture, and team management. Key Responsibilities Lead and mentor a team of developers through the entire software development lifecycle. Contribute approximately 30% of your bandwidth to active coding , prototyping, and troubleshooting. Drive technical delivery, ensuring alignment with project milestones, timelines, and quality expectations. Architect scalable, secure systems that meet functional and non-functional requirements. Provide technical direction, code reviews, and pull request evaluations to maintain code quality and security standards. Collaborate with stakeholders to define and execute technical strategies and project goals. Oversee deployment processes, including verification and release management. Monitor individual and team performance, ensuring knowledge is applied effectively and identifying further training needs. Establish traceability frameworks for requirements across design, development, and testing. Promote engineering best practices and lead by example through hands-on contributions and leadership. Technical Expertise 8-12 years of full-stack development experience with a strong command of the MERN stack . Expert-level skills in Node.js, React, MongoDB , and both SQL and NoSQL databases (e.g., PostgreSQL/MySQL). Strong grasp of TypeScript and modern Node.js frameworks such as NestJS and Next.js . Proven experience with AWS cloud services (Lambda, SQS, SNS, SES, Elasticsearch, Caching, etc.). Skilled in front-end technologies: HTML5, JavaScript, LESS/SASS . Experience designing and maintaining microservices architectures and scalable backend systems. Hands-on experience in building high-traffic, public-facing web applications . Proficient in CI/CD workflows, version control (Git/SVN), and DevOps best practices.
