Job Description

The position of Technical Writer is responsible for researching, writing, and editing customer-facing documentation, including user manuals, online help systems, and quick installation guides. This role focuses on analyzing and updating test reports for specific Product Lines (PLs) related to electrical engineering and power management solutions. Effective communication and relationship-building with Global Business Units (GBUs), PLs, other departments, and OEM customers are essential. The ideal candidate should demonstrate the ability to independently support and manage documentation projects from inception to completion, even with limited supervision or product specifications. Key Responsibilities: - Understanding, writing, and editing product documentation for advanced technology products in clear and concise English. - Gathering technical information through proactive research, interviews with engineers, and ensuring document accuracy and quality. - Willingness to learn new processes, products, and tools, and actively support team members. - Structuring documentation in the appropriate format while adhering to established standards. - Managing multiple project schedules across various product lines and businesses effectively. Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field with a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience. - Experience in the electrical engineering industry, particularly in power management, is advantageous. - Additional certifications in professional/technical writing or digital communications are preferred. - Proficiency in English with the ability to explain complex concepts clearly. - Familiarity with writing for localization and collaborating with international teams. - Knowledge of CSS, XML, and XHTML is beneficial. - Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Acrobat DC Pro, Adobe InDesign, and similar desktop publishing tools. - Strong interpersonal, analytical, organizational, and editing skills with attention to detail. - Self-motivated team player capable of handling multiple tasks in a fast-paced, global environment. - Availability to support multiple time zones as required. Physical & Environmental Demands: - Standard physical demands associated with desk work. Travel Requirement: - Approximately 10% travel expected.
