Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

Process & Production Control

Plan, execute, and monitor powder coating operations as per daily/weekly production schedules.
Supervise pre-treatment, powder application, curing, and finishing processes.
Optimize equipment parameters to ensure uniform coating, proper adhesion, and curing.
Monitor powder usage, recovery, and wastage control.

Quality & Compliance:

Conduct routine inspections for coating thickness, adhesion, gloss, and overall finish.
Address and troubleshoot coating defects such as orange peel, pinholes or poor adhesion.
Ensure compliance with ISO, OEM, and customer quality standards.
Maintain process documentation, test reports, and quality records.

Equipment & Maintenance:

Oversee operation and upkeep of coating booths, guns, conveyors, and curing ovens.
Coordinate preventive and breakdown maintenance with maintenance teams.
Ensure cleanliness and efficiency of powder recovery and filtration systems.

Safety & Environment:

Implement and monitor safe handling of powders and chemicals.
Enforce PPE usage and safety procedures in the coating area.
Ensure compliance with environmental regulations on emissions and waste management.
Team Management & Improvement
Supervise coating operators and helpers during shifts.
Train team members on standard coating procedures, troubleshooting, and 5S practices.

Initiate continuous improvement projects to reduce cost, improve efficiency, and enhance product quality.
