Job Description

1. Primary Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on tools, dies, molds, and other equipment used in manufacturing.
  • Inspect and test tools and equipment to identify wear and tear, malfunctions, and needed repairs.
  • Replace or repair defective parts and ensure tools are properly calibrated and functioning.
  • Assist in the setup and calibration of tools and equipment for production runs.
  • Adjust settings and alignments to ensure tools meet production specifications and tolerances
  • Operating Manual equipment such as Milling, Turning, Surface grinding, Radial drilling
  • Manage and maintain tool inventory, including tracking tool usage, replacements, and repairs.
  • Ensure tools are stored properly and organized to facilitate easy access and inventory control.
  • Report any shortages or issues with tool inventory to the supervisor
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to tool performance and manufacturing problems.
  • Analyze and diagnose problems with tools and equipment and implement corrective actions

  • Maintain accurate records of tool maintenance, repairs, and calibration activities.
  • Prepare and submit reports on tool performance, inventory status, and maintenance activities
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures while working with tools and equipment.
  • Use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required and maintain a clean and safe work environment.
  • Work closely with engineers, production staff, and other technicians to support tool room operations and production goals.
  • Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors regarding tool maintenance, setup, and any issues encountered.

2. Knowledge and Skill Requirements:

  • Strong knowledge of tool maintenance, repair, and calibration techniques.
  • Proficiency in using hand tools, diagnostic equipment, and measuring instruments.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
  • Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Familiarity with safety protocols and best practices in tool room operations

3. Qualifications / Experience:

  • High school, ITI, diploma or equivalent; technical certification or associate degree in a related field preferred.
  • 4-8 years of experience in tool maintenance

Working Days : 6 Days ( Mon to Sat )

Working Time : 9.00 am to 5.30 pm

Transport route : Poonamallee (Via Sriperambadur), Sp Kovil ( Via Walajabad & Oragadam ) & Kanchipuram

Plant Location : Near to Sugavarchathiram, Kanchipuram
