Engineer, Platform Engineering

The Team: As an Engineer in Platform Engineering, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining the infrastructure and platforms that support our applications and services. You will work closely with development teams to ensure that our platforms are scalable, reliable, and secure. We also help developers with their pipeline solutions in Azure DevOps, GitLab, and GitHub Enterprise.

The Impact: Our Platform Engineer will support other platform engineers assigned to existing development teams. Together we will collaborate with them by assisting with designing infrastructure, monitoring performance, automating processes, and resolving issues. Key Responsibilities:

• Design and implement scalable and reliable platform solutions.

• Configuration Management
• Configure GitHub Projects, services, and actions to run smoothly

• Develop automation scripts and tools to streamline platform operations.
• Ensure high levels of security and compliance across platform services.
• Troubleshoot and resolve platform-related issues.
• Participate in capacity planning and performance tuning.

What we're looking for:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven experience in platform engineering or a similar role.
• Proficiency in cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
• Strong understanding of containerization technologies
• Experience with CI/CD tools and practices.
• Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash) for automation.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with infrastructure as code (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation).
• Familiarity with platforms (e.g., Azure DevOps, GitHub Enterprise)
• Understanding of networking concepts and protocols.
• Understanding of CI/CD concepts and protocols
• Self-Starter & Time Management:
• Being a self-starter with excellent time management skills is crucial for success in this role.
