Engineer, Packaging

Your role as a PSBU Packaging Engineer involves designing and developing packaging for all PSBU products designed in India, Lisle, and manufactured worldwide. You will collaborate with the Product Development Team to establish packaging strategy, create packaging specifications using NX ECTR software, and work with Product Engineers to understand and fulfill packaging requirements. Additionally, you will engage with outside packaging suppliers, validate products per Molex drop test method, and ensure compliance with Molex worldwide packaging standards. Your responsibilities also include collaborating with Engineers, Plants, and Suppliers, as well as resolving packaging problems internally and externally. Key Responsibilities: - Establish packaging strategy in coordination with the Product Development Team - Create packaging specifications using NX ECTR software - Collaborate with Product Engineers to fulfill packaging requirements - Engage with outside packaging suppliers for feasibility and quotations - Validate products using Molex drop test method and release specifications through EC process - Collaborate with various teams to resolve packaging problems - Stay updated on Molex worldwide packaging standards Qualifications Required: - B.E (Graduate in Mechanical Engineering) with 1-3 years of experience in packaging design and implementation - Proficiency in NX CAD solid modeling for generating 3D models & 2D detail drawings - Project management skills demonstrating the ability to set goals and priorities for timely project completion - Knowledge of packaging materials and processes used in electronics - Familiarity with various packaging types such as Bulk, tray, tube, and tape & reel - Strong analytical skills for packaging design and planning, including corrugated materials, thermoformed tapes and trays, and extruded tubes - Excellent verbal and written communication skills for clear expression of technical concepts The company fosters an entrepreneurial environment where challenging the status quo and creating value are encouraged.
