Description
As a PSBU Packaging Engineer at the PCCS division and PSBU business unit, you will be responsible for designing and developing packaging for all PSBU products designed in India, Lisle, and manufactured worldwide. Your role will involve working closely with the Product Development Team to establish packaging strategy, creating packaging specifications using software NX ECTR, collaborating with Product Engineers to understand packaging requirements, and discussing with outside packaging suppliers for feasibility and quotations. You will validate products per Molex drop test method, collaborate with Engineers, Plants, and Suppliers, and ensure compliance with Molex worldwide packaging standards. Additionally, you will work with Quality, Product Engineering, and Manufacturing Plant to resolve packaging problems internally and externally. Key Responsibilities: - Establish packaging strategy in coordination with the Product Development Team - Create packaging specifications using NX ECTR software - Collaborate with Product Engineers to understand and create packaging specifications - Discuss with outside packaging suppliers for feasibility and quotations - Validate products per Molex drop test method and release specifications through EC process - Collaborate with Engineers, Plants, and Suppliers - Resolve packaging problems with Quality, Product Engineering, and Manufacturing Plant Qualifications Required: - B.E (Graduate in Mechanical Engineering) with 1-3 years of experience in packaging design and implementation - Proficiency in NX CAD solid modeling and ability to generate 3D models & 2D detail drawings - Project management skills demonstrating goal setting and prioritization abilities - Knowledge of packaging materials and processes in electronics industry - Familiarity with different types of packaging such as Bulk, tray, tube, and tape & reel - Strong analytical skills in packaging design and advance planning - Strong verbal and written communication skills for expressing technical concepts clearly As an entrepreneurial company, Koch empowers employees to challenge the status quo and create value.
