As an Engineer I - Software Development at Accelya, you will play a crucial role in building high-quality, innovative, and fully performing software that complies with coding standards and technical design. Your responsibilities will include translating processes and enhancement specifications into programs, developing error-free code within agreed timescales, evaluating changes and performing impact analysis, working with functional staff to establish requirements, investigating reported faults in operational code, designing unit testing plan strategies, and taking ownership of the test and implementation phases of projects. Some key responsibilities you will have in this role are: - Translating processes and enhancement specifications into programs - Developing or refining error-free code within agreed timescales - Evaluating changes and performing impact analysis - Working with functional staff to establish and clarify requirements - Investigating reported faults in operational code - Designing and preparing unit testing plan strategies - Writing test scripts to validate new software development and enhancements - Taking ownership of the test and implementation phases of projects To excel in this role, you should have knowledge in Java, JavaEE frameworks (Spring, Struts), HTML/HTML5, CSS/CSS3, Eclipse, JavaScript, JQuery, and SQL. Additionally, experience managing servers in Linux environments (Tomcat, JBoss), understanding functional requirements, delivering technical documentation, and holding a degree in Software Engineering will be beneficial.
