Engineer - Hydraulic Modelling

• Undertake model build and calibration of wastewater network hydraulic models using a range of modelling software and other tools including spreadsheets and GIS.
• Carry out system performance analysis, development assessment and operational scenario planning using hydraulic models and other tools as required.
• Prepare reporting for modelling projects suitable for review and client presentation.
• Provide input into project activities, including fee estimating and scoping of projects.
• Work proactively within a team of junior and senior waste water network hydraulic modellers/ planning engineers within India and Australia to ensure the production of quality deliverables.

• proficient in Windows 2000 or later, MS Word/Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.

Software Proficiencies :

1. MUST HAVE software proficiencies:

• InfoWorks ICM,; Ideal candidate should be an experienced user of ICM.
• QGIS.

2. Good to have software proficiencies:

• InfoSwmm, SewerGEMS,
• Civil 3D, 12D and similar
• HEC-RAS, HY-8, DHI MIKE and similar
• API programming skills (especially using RubyScript)

Qualifications:

• Graduate

  in Civil Engineering or similar

• Post Graduate

  in Water Resource Engineering or Environmental Engineering
• Preferred, Member of a professional body like CIWEM, ICE etc.; Chartered or equivalent

Experience:

• 2-8 years

  of hands on experience in Hydraulic Modelling for Waste Water Infrastructure projects.
• Skilled in hydraulic model build, verification and calibration using hydraulic modelling tools.
• Experience in the design of sewer water network designs for planned layouts and developments.
• Past experience in AU/NZ projects is preferred; should at least have experience in overseas (UK/US/ME) Water and Wet Utilities projects.
• Knowledge and understanding of international codes and standards.
• Ability to work well as part of a team or on an individual basis.
• Good report writing skills.
