Ensure the availability and operability of portable fire protection equipment.
Maintain adequate spares inventory and implement indigenization of imported spares.
Develop and implement maintenance schedules, manage equipment failure databases, and analyze failures to implement corrective measures.
Operate SAP systems, control budgets, and monitor expenses.
Provide assurance to site leadership on the implementation and adherence to fire safety standards, procedures, and checklists.
Prepare RA sheets for all identified M&I activities and manage inventory levels to ensure adequate spares and equipment availability.
Review and update datasheets/specifications for all equipment and spares, and review the scope of work for outsourcing maintenance jobs.
Ensure the availability of tools and tackles for maintenance activities and liaise with Engineering services, plant maintenance, contract cell, procurement, Material management centre, Excise, and contractors/vendors.
Conduct periodic testing and certification of lifting tools/tackles, weights & measuring equipment, pressure vessel, and cylinders as per statutes, and review contractor performance.

Job Requirements

Over 3 years of relevant work experience for engineering graduates or over 8 years for Station officers or Grad I; Sub officer requires over 12 years of post-qualification experience.
Possess strong analytical skills for solving fire equipment maintenance issues and demonstrate proficiency in Fire Safety Management.
Demonstrate good understanding of SAP systems and their various transactions, along with the ability to formulate specifications for different fire protection equipment.
Exhibit high planning and decision-making abilities, teamwork, delegation, communication, and time management skills.
Be able to apply and utilize firefighting equipment, consumables, systems, and other resources effectively for emergency management.
Have knowledge of application, maintenance, and troubleshooting of various fire protection equipment and systems.
