Job Description

Role Overview: You will be responsible for designing electronic circuits and sub-systems for PLC and LED/LCD based hardware, including power supplies and analog, digital, and mixed signal circuits. Additionally, you will design peripheral interfaces for microprocessors and microcontrollers. You will participate in establishing design requirements and specifications, implement test setups, and perform design verification testing. Your role will also involve performing debugging and troubleshooting to identify design and test setup issues. Collaboration with external and internal customers, such as Product Management, Operations, and other engineering teams throughout the product development life cycle will be a key aspect of your responsibilities. You will assist Lead Engineers and counterparts in design reviews and plan and execute tasks in collaboration with the product team to ensure project objectives are met. It will be important for you to perform tasks per team processes and guidelines, providing recommendations for continuous process improvement. You will be expected to propose and provide innovative, competitive technical solutions that can make a significant business impact and provide value to stakeholders. Direct collaboration with stakeholders, engineering, and test teams to create high-quality products that solve customer problems will be a crucial part of your role. Additionally, you will suggest and develop reusable hardware components and seek continuous improvement opportunities in Eaton's motor operations and controls portfolio. Sharing knowledge within the team and demonstrating flexibility working on multiple assignments/product categories simultaneously will also be expected from you. Providing timely status updates and reports to stakeholders will be an essential part of your responsibilities. Key Responsibilities: - Design electronic circuits and sub-systems for PLC and LED/LCD based hardware - Design peripheral interfaces for microprocessors and microcontrollers - Participate in establishing design requirements and specifications - Implement test set ups and perform design verification testing - Perform debugging and troubleshooting to identify design and test set up issues - Collaborate with external and internal customers throughout the product development life cycle - Assist Lead Engineers and counterparts in design reviews - Plan and execute tasks in collaboration with the product team - Provide recommendations for continuous process improvement - Propose and provide innovative, competitive technical solutions - Work directly with stakeholders, engineering, and test to create high-quality products - Suggest and develop re-usable hardware components - Seek continuous improvement opportunities in Eaton's motor operations and controls portfolio - Share knowledge within the team - Demonstrate flexibility working on multiple assignments/product categories - Provide timely status updates and reports to stakeholders Qualifications: - Bachelors in Electronics/ E&TC/ Instrumentation engineering - Experience: 4+ Years Skills: - Experience in designing analog, digital, and mixed signals circuits - Sound knowledge of electronics components (Active, Passive & custom parts) & their applications - Experience in designing circuits involving high-speed micro-controllers, microprocessors, and peripherals-based designs - Experience in board-level testing, troubleshooting, and debugging issues in hardware design - Knowledge and hands-on experience on design considerations required to comply with EMI / EMC certification and environmental compliances UL /IEC / RoHS / REACH etc. - Sound experience on simulation tools like PSpice, LTSpice, Model Sim, etc. - Experience with printed circuit board layout design involving tools like Mentor & Altium - Knowledge of different communication buses and interfaces used in embedded HW design (e.g., Serial, Ethernet, CAN, etc.) - Experience with thermal management and thermal conditions calculation (Power dissipation, Heat sink, etc.) - Excellent verbal and written communication skills - Preferred knowledge on designing production testers and simulators Role Overview: You will be responsible for designing electronic circuits and sub-systems for PLC and LED/LCD based hardware, including power supplies and analog, digital, and mixed signal circuits.
