Engineer - Design

Duties and Responsibilities:

.Conceptualise material handling solutions and Grippers.

.Make detailed part drawings, showing dimensional tolerances and geometrical tolerances. Specify surface finish, heat treatment etc

.Create error free Bill of material with regards to item numbers and quantities

.Design the material handling equipment using 3D design software and 2D software.

.Make detailed part drawings of the designed system.

.Make 2 D layouts along with simulation for the material handling equipment designed.

.Make calculations using Strength of material fundamentals and using software

.Select appropriate bought out components and pneumatic components from Festo, SMC etc.

.Make necessary entries in ERP.

.Discuss in detail with the design manager and get involved in customer discussion for the approval process, make the MOM and implement suggestions of the customer.

. Provide support to assembly team as necessary

Knowledge and Skills

.Hands on experience of using 3D designing software’s – AutoCAD & Inventor

.written and verbal communication skills

.Strong computer and mathematical skills

.Experience of designing industry specific products, Material handling systems, SPMs

.Flexible approach to work and the ability to adapt to change

.Self-motivated attitude and the ability to use initiative

Experience: 2 to 10 years in relevant field

Salary range Rs. 23,000 to 70,000 PM
