Job Title : Engine Design Engineer (CATIA with Casting) Location : Jaipur Department : Automotive Design Job Summary : We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented CATIA Designer with expertise in Casting to join our engineering team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing and creating 3D models and drawings for casting processes using CATIA software. You will work closely with the engineering team to ensure high-quality and efficient designs for manufacturing and production. Key Responsibilities : Create detailed 3D models and 2D drawings of casting components using CATIA V5/V6 . Collaborate with engineering teams to design casting components that meet functional, aesthetic, and manufacturability requirements. Ensure designs comply with industry standards, casting methodologies, and material specifications. Participate in design reviews and work closely with stakeholders to incorporate feedback into design iterations. Perform casting feasibility analysis, considering the casting process, material behavior, and potential design issues. Design gating, risers, and core systems to ensure efficient casting processes. Collaborate with production teams to validate design feasibility and manufacturability. Troubleshoot and optimize designs to minimize defects and ensure ease of manufacturing. Create and manage design documentation, including technical specifications, drawings, and reports. Keep up-to-date with industry best practices, tools, and technologies for casting design. Qualifications : Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering, Design Engineering, or related field. Proven experience in casting design and manufacturing processes. Strong expertise in CATIA V5/V6 for 3D modeling and 2D drawing creation. Experience with casting simulation tools and knowledge of casting defects and troubleshooting. Good understanding of materials and processes related to casting (e.g., sand casting, die casting, investment casting). Ability to create designs that balance performance, manufacturability, and cost-effectiveness. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Excellent communication skills to work with cross-functional teams. Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines effectively.
