Job Description

Position : Engine Design

Work Location Chennai

Immediate Joiner

Short JD Engine Casting Engineer (4W Commercial Vehicle, UG NX)

Design and develop CV engine casting components (blocks, heads, housings) using UG NX.
Ensure castability and manufacturability for sand and gravity casting processes.
Apply casting design features (drafts, ribs, fillets, cores, machining allowances).
Conduct casting feasibility and support simulation teams for solidification and thermal analysis.
Collaborate with foundry, manufacturing, CAE, and supplier teams for prototype and production builds.
Resolve casting defects and support DFMEA, design reviews, and tooling validations.
Prepare drawings, GD&T, and engineering documentation per CV standards.
Require Bachelor’s in Mechanical/Automobile/Metallurgy with 3–8 years CV engine casting experience.
Must have strong UG NX skills and knowledge of commercial vehicle casting processes.
