You will be responsible for developing energy models for commercial, industrial, and residential buildings using Design Builder / IES software. Analyzing building performance data, providing energy efficiency recommendations, and assisting project teams in designing energy-efficient and sustainable buildings will be key aspects of your job. You will also conduct sensitivity analysis to assess the impact of various design parameters on energy performance, evaluate HVAC system performance, lighting, and envelope characteristics, and collaborate with architects, MEP engineers, and sustainability teams to optimize energy consumption. Supporting documentation and submission of energy models for green building certifications and staying updated with the latest trends in energy modeling techniques and standards will be part of your responsibilities. Additionally, you will prepare detailed technical reports and presentations for clients and stakeholders. Qualifications required for this position include a B.E / M.Tech in Mechanical / Electrical / Thermal and 3 to 5 years of experience in the relevant field. You should have expertise in energy modeling software such as Design Builder, IES-VE, eQUEST, Open Studio, Rhino + Honeybee/Ladybug, or EnergyPlus. Strong knowledge of ASHRAE 90.1, LEED energy modeling guidelines, IGBC & GRIHA rating systems, familiarity with MEP systems, HVAC design, and building envelope optimization, experience in conducting parametric studies, and performing life-cycle cost analysis are essential. You should possess the ability to interpret energy simulation results, provide practical recommendations, and have excellent analytical, communication, and report-writing skills. Being capable of working independently and collaboratively in multidisciplinary teams is also required for this role.
