This isn’t your average desk job. As our Energy Innovation Lead, you’ll bring your technical know-how and people skills together to help deliver projects that connect customers, communities, and new technologies.

⚡ Work on projects that explore how distributed energy (like solar, batteries, and EVs) can fit into our network.⚡ Partner with local iwi, community groups, and customers to create real, lasting impact.⚡ Turn new ideas into practical solutions that make a difference.⚡ Keep things running smoothly – managing timelines, budgets, and communication between teams.

⚡ Has an electrical background – maybe you’re a qualified electrician, technician, or have worked in the power industry.⚡ Communicates clearly and builds strong relationships – whether it’s with customers, contractors, or community groups.⚡ Brings energy, curiosity, and creativity to their work.⚡ Is confident working with iwi and understands the importance of collaboration and respect.⚡ Can juggle multiple tasks, stay organised, and see projects through from start to finish.If you’ve dabbled in new technologies like solar, batteries, or EV charging, that’s a bonus!
