Job Description

As a member of the team, you will be involved in designing and improving new and existing architectures of distributed computing with subcomponents of Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS). This includes working with industrial state-of-the-art sensor systems and modules, developing drivers or wrappers, and creating applications around their usage. Additionally, you will be responsible for designing and implementing communication protocols between different subcomponents of UAS for distributed computing. Writing applications and drivers for (embedded) Linux-based systems will also be a key aspect of your role. You will script and automate workflows related to UAS usage and collaborate with electronics, design, and systems teams for architecture development and deployment. Furthermore, you will work closely with Flight Controller engineers to achieve collaborative development of UAVs. We are looking for a candidate who has experience in hands-on development of complex embedded systems involving multiple microcontrollers or SoCs. Strong analytical abilities are required for core research and development activities. The ideal candidate should be capable of writing low-level drivers from scratch, reading and understanding datasheets and reference manuals, and comprehending existing complex embedded software stacks written in C/C++. Proficiency in C and C++ is essential, along with comfort in using hardware debuggers. Experience with RTOS concepts, interrupt mechanisms, hardware protocols like SPI, I2C, UART, PWM, CAN, USB, ARM-based microcontrollers, interrupt architecture, bootloaders, and multitasking is highly desired. A self-motivated and motivating personality with good interpersonal and soft skills is crucial for adapting to the work environment and maintaining a positive attitude. If you have experience in Linux Device Driver development, exposure to sensor modules like GPS and LIDAR, and familiarity with data filtering techniques such as Kalman filter, it would be considered advantageous. Your skills should include proficiency in Embedded C++, Robotics, ROS, DroneDeploy, Raspberry Pi, Linux kernel, I2C, UART, Device Driver Development, ardupilot, pixhawk, stm32, and UAV.,
