Embedded Security Engineer

As a Sr. Engineer Embedded Security at Emerson, you will be working at the heart of the business, which will provide you with valuable skills and business insight to further your career within the global organization. You will have the opportunity to perform various security tasks and guide the development team to strengthen the security of embedded products and applications used in Critical Infrastructure. **Key Responsibilities:** - Perform Vulnerability Analysis and Penetration testing of embedded products/applications used in Critical Infrastructure (OT/ICS domain). - Conduct firmware code reverse engineering and device security hardening. - Perform protocol fuzz Testing of industrial communication protocols such as Modbus, WiFi, OPC-UA, PROFINET, Ethernet IP, BLE, etc. - Guide the development team across the development cycle to enhance security. - Mentor and coach colleagues in your area of expertise. **Qualifications Required:** - Experience in Vulnerability Analysis and Penetration testing of embedded products. - Proficiency in firmware reverse engineering and device security hardening. - Strong knowledge of embedded systems, including Microcontroller and its peripherals, RTOS, Linux, memory, and HSM (Hardware Security Module). - Experience in secure C/C++ code review and use of Static Analysis tools. - Understanding of secure libraries (e.g., bootloader) and security protocols (HTTPS, HSTS, TLS, SSH) along with interfaces like UART, SPI, I2C, JTAG. - Strong analytical skills, decision-making capabilities, and effective verbal and written communication skills to collaborate at all levels of the organization. **Preferred Qualifications:** - Bachelor's degree in Computer/Electronics Engineering or related field with 2-5 years of relevant experience. - Cybersecurity Certification is preferred.
