Eligibility and Verification Specialist

Key Responsibilities:

Perform accurate and timely verification of patient insurance eligibility and benefits.
Contact insurance companies via phone or portal to confirm active coverage, co-pays, deductibles, prior authorization requirements, and plan limitations.
Communicate verification outcomes to scheduling, billing, and front desk teams.
Document all verification results clearly and precisely in the system.
Follow up on any incomplete or unclear insurance details with patients or insurers.
Ensure HIPAA compliance in handling all patient and insurance information.
Collaborate with team members to improve verification accuracy and efficiency.

Requirements:

Minimum
3 years of hands-on experience
in insurance eligibility and verification and revenue cycle management in a healthcare setting (US healthcare).
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
must be fluent and confident in English.
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively during the
Night Shift.
Must be willing to
commute on their own
as
no transport facility and meal facility is provided
.
Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and a proactive approach.
Experience with EMR/EHR systems and insurance portals is preferred.
