Job Description Electrician (Facility Management Services)
Position Title: Electrician
Department: Technical Services / Engineering
Reporting To: Technical Supervisor / Facility Manager

Role Purpose:
To perform installation, operation, preventive and breakdown maintenance of all electrical systems and equipment in client-managed facilities, ensuring safe and uninterrupted electrical supply and system performance.

Key Responsibilities:
Electrical Operation & Maintenance

  • Carry out routine operation and preventive maintenance of electrical panels, DBs, switchgears, lighting systems, UPS, and DG sets.
  • Attend to electrical breakdowns, identify faults, and perform immediate corrective actions.
  • Ensure continuous power supply and safe distribution of electricity within the premises.

Installation & Commissioning

  • Assist in the installation of new electrical systems, equipment, and fixtures in line with electrical safety norms.
  • Support electrical fit-outs, rewiring, and commissioning of electrical components.

Monitoring & Documentation

  • Regularly monitor electrical parameters voltage, current, load, and power factor.
  • Maintain logbooks, equipment history cards, and service records.
  • Prepare daily activity and incident reports for review by the supervisor.

Safety & Compliance

  • Ensure adherence to electrical safety standards, HSE protocols, and company SOPs during maintenance activities.
  • Properly use personal protective equipment (PPE) and isolation procedures when working on live circuits.


Key Competencies & Skills:

  • Good knowledge of electrical systems, control panels, and safety practices.
  • Hands-on skills in troubleshooting electrical faults, load distribution, and preventive maintenance.
  • Basic understanding of DG operations, UPS systems, and fire alarm controls.
  • Strong problem-solving ability and customer service mindset.
  • Good physical fitness and ability to work in rotational shifts.


Qualifications & Experience:

  • Education: ITI / Diploma in Electrical Engineering
  • Experience: 25 years in electrical maintenance within facility management, commercial buildings, hospitals, or industrial environments.


Work Environment:

  • Site-based role at client premises
