Job Description

Key Responsibilities:1
Electrical Maintenance OperationsMaintain and repair electrical wiring, panels, switches, sockets, lighting systems, and fixtures
Ensure continuous power supply to critical areas such as ICU, OT, Emergency, NICU, Dialysis, and Labs
Attend to and resolve electrical complaints and breakdowns promptly
Monitor and maintain UPS, DG sets, emergency power systems, and stabilizers (coordination with DG operators)

Safety ComplianceEnsure all electrical work complies with safety standards, hospital policies, and statutory regulations
Follow electrical safety norms, PPE usage, and lockout/tagout procedures
Support compliance with NABH, fire safety, and electrical audit requirements

Preventive MaintenanceCarry out preventive maintenance as per schedules to avoid breakdowns
Maintain records of maintenance logs, electrical load charts, and inspection reports
Identify potential electrical hazards and take corrective action proactively

Equipment Infrastructure SupportSupport installation and relocation of medical and non-medical equipment
Coordinate with biomedical and IT teams during equipment installations
Assist in minor electrical works during renovations or expansions

Emergency On-call DutiesAttend emergency electrical issues during shifts or on-call duty
Ensure immediate response during power failure or fire-related electrical incidents
Qualifications:ITI / Diploma in Electrical Engineering
A valid electrical license (as per state regulations) is preferred
25 years of experience as an electrician, preferably in a hospital or large facility
Skills Required:Good knowledge of electrical systems, panels, and troubleshooting
Understanding of hospital safety and infection control practices
Ability to work in shifts and handle emergency situations
Teamwork, discipline, and attention to detail
