Job Description

Key Responsibilities: Project Planning & Execution: Lead and manage the execution of electrical transmission lines and substations projects under TBCB/BOOT models. Develop detailed project plans, including schedules, budgets, and resource allocation. Coordinate with clients, vendors, and contractors to ensure alignment with project goals. Oversee project execution from design through to commissioning, ensuring adherence to timelines, cost estimates, and quality standards. Team Management & Coordination: Supervise and lead a multidisciplinary project team, including engineers, technicians, and subcontractors. Provide guidance and technical direction to team members and contractors. Ensure effective communication and coordination between different project stakeholders. Organize regular project review meetings to track progress, address issues, and resolve challenges. Compliance & Regulatory Oversight: Ensure all activities are compliant with local regulations, industry standards, and safety protocols. Oversee quality control and quality assurance processes to ensure the highest standards of engineering practices. Monitor environmental impact and ensure compliance with sustainability standards during project implementation. Contract & Financial Management: Manage contracts with vendors, contractors, and consultants, ensuring that contractual obligations are met. Administer the procurement process, including the selection of suppliers, negotiation of contracts, and procurement of materials and services. Monitor and control project budgets, and implement corrective actions to address cost overruns. Risk Management: Proactively identify potential risks (technical, financial, environmental, etc.) to the successful completion of the project. Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies to minimize project disruptions. Ensure timely resolution of any issues or obstacles that may impact project progress. Stakeholder Management: Regularly update clients, senior management, and other stakeholders on project progress, challenges, and outcomes. Foster relationships with local authorities, regulators, and other key stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution. Represent the project in meetings with government bodies, regulatory authorities, and external partners. Commissioning & Handover: Oversee the commissioning of electrical transmission lines and substations, ensuring all systems are fully operational. Ensure a smooth handover of the project to the operational team, including detailed documentation and training. Provide support during the post-commissioning phase and address any technical issues that arise. Qualifications & Skills: Education: Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or related field. Experience: Minimum of 1020 years of experience in managing electrical transmission line and substation projects, including experience in TBCB/BOOT model projects. Certifications: Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent is preferred. Technical Expertise: In-depth knowledge of electrical transmission line design, construction, and commissioning processes. Familiarity with substation equipment (transformers, circuit breakers, switchgear, etc.). Strong understanding of regulatory standards and industry codes. Experience with electrical modeling, simulation, and SCADA systems is an advantage. Management Skills: Proven leadership and team management skills. Strong ability to manage multi-disciplinary teams and complex projects. Exceptional communication and negotiation skills. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Knowledge of Contract Models: Experience with Tariff-Based Competitive Bidding (TBCB) and Build-Own-Operate-Transfer (BOOT) project models. Understanding of financial management, budgeting, and cost control in large-scale infrastructure projects.
