Electrical Project Planning & Control Manager

Key Responsibilities:

A. Project Planning (30%)

• Prepare and continuously update

  Project Execution Plan / Bar Chart

  within one month of receiving a work order.
• Prepare

  cash flow statements

  and

  financial budgets

  for each site within two months of work order receipt.
• Attend

  Pre-bid and Tender Negotiation Meetings

  as required.
• Coordinate with Estimation Department to prepare complete

  material lists

  for projects.
• Prepare

  material submittals

  , obtain sample approvals, and get

  shop drawings

  approved from consultants/clients.
• Maintain a list of

  approved labour contractors

  and coordinate deployment at sites.
• Evaluate and qualify labour contractors as and when required.

B. Daily Site Activities (40%)

• Track and monitor

  day-to-day activities

  across all project sites.
• Review

  daily site reports

  , approve material indents and purchase orders, ensuring compliance with tender pricing.
• Maintain site documents, drawings, and records systematically.
• Control project cost and ensure optimum

  material flow

  and utilization at site.
• Coordinate with Purchase, Billing, and Project teams for timely

  material supply

  and documentation.
• Oversee

  quality control

  of workmanship and materials.
• Ensure timely

  submission of labour bills

  and

  project status reports

  .
• Prepare

  weekly and monthly reports

  for management review.

C. Extra Items & Variation Orders (15%)

• Follow up for

  extra item quotes

  , get client approvals before work execution.
• Verify

  variation quantities

  and prepare reconciliation statements.
• Coordinate with estimation for sizing of

  cables and equipment

  .

D. Project Handover (5%)

• Oversee

  project consolidation and handover process

  upon completion.
• Prepare and submit

  As-Built Drawings

  .

E. Employee Engagement (10%)

• Maintain team motivation, minimize attrition, and ensure employee engagement.
• Assist in

  recruitment and selection

  of site-level staff including supervisors, wiremen, storekeepers, and project in-charges.

Key Skills:

• Project planning & scheduling (Bar Charts, Execution Plans)
• Cost control & budgeting

• Material & resource management
• Quality assurance & reporting
• Knowledge of electrical contracting and tendering
• Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and project planning tools
