Electrical Project Engineer

Role & responsibilities

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced MEP Project Engineer to join our team. The MEP Project Engineer will be responsible for managing and coordinating all aspects of the mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) systems on construction projects. This role requires strong technical knowledge, excellent project management skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with a variety of stakeholders to ensure that MEP systems are designed, installed, and maintained according to project specifications, timelines, and budgets.Collaborate with architects, civil engineers, and project managers to review project specifications and develop comprehensive MEP system designs. Coordinate with MEP subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers to ensure the timely procurement and delivery of materials and equipment. Develop and maintain detailed project schedules and work plans for MEP activities, ensuring alignment with overall project timelines. Review and interpret MEP drawings, blueprints, and specifications to ensure they meet project requirements and industry standards. Provide technical support and expertise during the design phase, advising on the integration of MEP systems with other building systems. Conduct site inspections to monitor progress, verify that installations meet design Prepare and maintain accurate documentation, including as-built drawings, test reports, and maintenance manuals. Assist the Project Manager in tracking project progress, budgets, and resources related to MEP systems. Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure the successful completion of MEP-related tasks. Ensure that all MEP installations adhere to health and safety regulations, implementing necessary precautions to protect workers and the public.

Preferred candidate profile

Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. Proficiency in CAD software and other engineering design tools. Strong understanding of MEP systems, electrical, and fire protection systems. Excellent project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously.
