Electrical Manager

Key Responsibilities:

1. Electrical Maintenance & Troubleshooting

• Supervise and execute preventive and breakdown maintenance of electrical equipment in CRM, Pickling, and Tube Mills.
  
• Troubleshoot electrical faults in motors, drives, panels, control systems, etc.
  
• Ensure minimal downtime of production lines through quick fault resolution.
  

2. Equipment & Systems Handling

• Manage and maintain:
  
• LT/HT panels, transformers, circuit breakers.
  
• Drives (DC/AC), PLCs (Siemens, Allen Bradley, etc.), HMIs, SCADA.
  
• EOT cranes, hydraulic/pneumatic control systems.
  
• Monitor the performance of equipment such as motors, gearboxes, VFDs.
  

3. Automation & Control

• Oversee automation systems used in CRM, Pickling, and Tube Mills.
  
• Modify PLC/SCADA logic for process improvements or modifications.
  
• Coordinate with automation vendors for troubleshooting or upgrades.
  

4. Team Management

• Lead and train a team of engineers, supervisors, and electricians.
  
• Assign daily tasks, monitor performance, and ensure safety compliance.
  

5. Project & Shutdown Management

• Plan and execute scheduled shutdowns for electrical maintenance.
  
• Participate in new equipment installation, commissioning, and retrofitting.
  

6. Documentation & Compliance

• Maintain records of maintenance, breakdown history, and spares consumption.
  
• Ensure compliance with electrical safety norms and energy audits.
  

7. Coordination

• Work closely with production, mechanical, instrumentation, and safety departments.
  
• Coordinate with vendors, OEMs, and contractors.

Key Skills Required:

• In-depth knowledge of electrical systems in rolling and pickling operations.
  
• Experience with Siemens/ABB/Schneider drives and PLCs.
  
• Hands-on with HT/LT systems, power distribution, and automation.
  
• Leadership and team management skills.
  
• Knowledge of industry safety standards (e.g., IS, IEC, OSHA norms).
  

Educational Qualification:

• B.E./B.Tech in Electrical Engineering

  (Diploma holders with extensive experience may also be considered)

Experience:

• 8-13+ years

  (depending on the complexity and size of the plant)
