Electrical Estimation Engineer/Manager @ Santacruz

The Electrical Estimation Engineer/Manager will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates, technical evaluations, and bid documentation for Electrical systems under MEP scope for various EPC projects. The role involves close coordination with design, procurement, and execution teams to ensure competitive and compliant tender submissions across diverse sectors including Residential, Commercial, Industrial, Data Centre, Metro, Airport, Hospitality, Healthcare, and Retail projects.

Reporting to : - AGM Estimation

Experience :- 5 14 years of relevant experience in MEP estimation within EPC or construction companies

Education :- Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering (B.E. / B.Tech)

Key Responsibilities:

• Review tender documents, drawings, and specifications to ensure comprehensive understanding of project scope and requirements.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams for preparation and submission of complete tender documentation.
• Identify and raise technical and commercial queries to clients/consultants to clarify ambiguities or missing information (e.g., shipping cost, insurance, and regional standards).
• Prepare detailed cost estimates, including material take-offs, equipment costs, labor calculations, and overheads.
• Develop tender cost summaries and support bid pricing with clear justifications and documentation.
• Review electrical system drawings and compare against tender requirements to identify variations and potential risks.
• Prepare and verify Bill of Quantities (BOQ) for accuracy and alignment with project specifications.
• Solicit and evaluate vendor quotations for materials, equipment, and subcontracted works; ensure compliance with technical and commercial requirements.
• Maintain and update cost databases, vendor lists, and historical pricing records for future reference.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external suppliers to ensure accurate and timely exchange of information.
• Ensure all tendering activities adhere to company policies, standard procedures and industry codes.

Core Competencies:

• Strong knowledge of Electrical design concepts, BOQ preparation, and rate analysis.
• Proficiency in reviewing technical drawings, specifications, and estimation tools.
• Familiarity with tendering procedures for EPC and MEP projects.
• Exposure to large-scale infrastructure and building projects (Residential, Industrial, Data Centres, Metro, Airport, etc.).
• Excellent analytical, coordination, and documentation skills.
