Job Summary: We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Electrical Design Engineer to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and testing electrical systems and components for [mention specific applications/industries]. This role requires a strong understanding of electrical engineering principles, design software, and industry standards. Responsibilities: Design & Development: Design and develop electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and control panels using CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD Electrical, EPLAN, SolidWorks Electrical). Select appropriate electrical components, including circuit breakers, relays, sensors, and PLCs, based on project requirements. Design and implement power distribution systems, control systems, and automation systems. Develop and maintain electrical design documentation, including technical specifications, drawings, and bills of materials (BOMs). Perform calculations for voltage drop, current ratings, and power consumption. Design and implement grounding and bonding systems. Testing & Validation: Conduct testing and validation of electrical systems and components to ensure compliance with design specifications and industry standards. Troubleshoot electrical problems and implement corrective actions. Prepare test reports and documentation. Perform factory acceptance tests (FAT) and site acceptance tests (SAT). Collaboration & Communication: Collaborate with other engineering disciplines (mechanical, software, etc.) to ensure integrated system design. Communicate effectively with suppliers, manufacturers, and customers. Provide technical support to production and service teams. Participate in design reviews and provide feedback. Maintain organized project documentation. Standards & Compliance: Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards and regulations (e.g., IEC, NEC, UL). Stay up-to-date with advancements in electrical engineering technology and industry best practices. Perform risk assessments related to electrical designs. Qualifications: Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field. 5 to 10 years of experience in electrical design engineering. Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD Electrical, EPLAN, SolidWorks Electrical). Strong understanding of electrical engineering principles and practices. Experience with PLC programming and control systems is a plus. Knowledge of industry standards and regulations (e.g., IEC, NEC, UL). Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Understanding of power distribution systems. Experience with testing and validation of electrical systems.
