Electrical Engineer

As a Primary Engineering Lead, your main responsibility will be to provide technical support for tendering and execution of customer projects, specifically focusing on Engineered items of Gas Insulated Switchgears. You will be leading the creation of Primary drawings and Bill of Quantities, and actively participating in discussions with customers to handle site queries and take necessary actions. Additionally, you will be assisting apprentices, entry-level engineers, technicians, and support teams with design activities. Your role will involve participating in customer meetings and project review meetings, where you will actively contribute to reducing lead time and costs by developing solutions that meet project technical requirements. It is essential to adhere to the detailed project plan to ensure on-time delivery and evaluate risks and opportunities to strategize mitigation for engineering projects/programs. You will collaborate with engineering colleagues both within the organization and externally, sharing best practices and lessons learned across different projects and disciplines. Furthermore, you will be responsible for preparing Electrical and Gas single line diagrams, Plan and Section drawings based on various offers/tenders and customer requirements, as well as technical particulars of GIS and high voltage equipment for customer submission. Reviewing deliverables before submission to clients, preparing technical documents for procurement, and participating in project review meetings are also key aspects of your role. You will be expected to prepare Bill of Materials and Cad files for SAP ordering, ensuring the quality of deliverables as a top priority, and offering support to the Production and site installation team on technical issues. In terms of work experience requirements, you should hold a bachelor's degree or a 3-year Diploma in electrical engineering or a related discipline, along with 3-5 years of relevant experience in GIS. Proficiency in 3D tools like AUTOCAD, ProE/CREO, and MS Office is essential, as well as knowledge of international standards such as IEC/ANSI and high voltage GIS products. Your role will also involve the preparation of GIS layouts for various voltage levels as part of the product team, with a strong emphasis on understanding variances and minimizing them in the design process.,
