Electrical Engineer

Job Purpose

Engineering of projects across different Global Sites of Cipla, in particular on all pre-project phases (conceptual, basic & detailed design) as Electrical Manager (especially for Pharma & API Engineering projects).

Accountabilities

Standards & Procedures:

Support and ensure Cipla Design engineering practices for Electrical discipline. Identify and develop new DEPs where necessary.

Ensure DEPs are reviewed at a periodic interval and updated with the help of subject matter experts.

Ensure updated DEPs are suitably implemented by all sites and projects.

Implement the best practice guidelines on electrical design, electrical safety relevant to pharma Industry. Harmonize electrical practices across all sites. Ensure best practice guidelines are suitably implemented by all sites and projects

Design:

Support teams in the development of Electrical design and standardization of electrical equipment.
Guide sites and project teams in technical decisions of significant magnitude (related to the electrical engineering)

Review and verify design documentation of critical projects and shutdowns.
Enable sites to manage the Financial & Commercial aspects of projects and adherence to allocated budgets.

Projects:

You will be working on Engineering projects across different Global Sites of Cipla, in particular on all pre-project phases (conceptual, basic & detailed design) as Electrical Manager (especially for Pharma & API Engineering projects).

You will be part of Cipla central engineering team based in Mumbai and will be working in collaboration with engineers from different disciplines.

Leading the entire Electrical Design Engineering activities to carry out engineering design work as per the requirements of Project, based on standard company Design guidelines / other procedures. Timely completion of design and engineering deliverables

Demonstrable advanced experience in the complete suite of electrical engineering design services. This include (but is not limited to) HV and LV power distribution, generators, UPS systems, lighting & emergency lighting, / data, cable containment, fire alarm, security, lightning protection, earthing & bonding, hazardous areas.
Advanced knowledge of all applicable electrical engineering codes, standards and acceptable industry practices.

Automation & Obsolescence:

Facilitate new inventory/cataloguing where necessary and update information in the inventory to ensure it is relevant for the current operation.

Facilitate Obsolescence management across all sites.

Audits & Compliance:

Provide necessary support and guidance to sites in conducting audits and in liquidating actions from audits.

Maintain Electrical data base related to electrical design, electrical safety and statutory requirement and audit compliances

Education Qualification

B.E/B.Tech in Electrical Engineering from reputed University.

Relevant Work Experience

At least 10 -15 year of experience in Engineering roles preferably in Pharma Industry.

Understanding of financial concepts like CAPEX, OPEX etc., knowledge of automation
