The Opportunity
We are an independent firm of designers, planners, engineers, consultants, and technical specialists offering a wide range of professional services aimed at making a positive difference in the world.The role is a key position within the Building Services Team, responsible for:
- Ensuring team performance, technical excellence, and project delivery.
- Leading electrical and fire alarm design for high-end and complex buildings from concept to IFC stage.
- Coordinating with multidisciplinary design teams for seamless integration of electrical systems.
- Reviewing and verifying electrical design work done locally and remotely.
- Collaborating with Arup offices on Middle East projects to ensure compliance with local standards.
- Developing complete design packages, including drawings, schematics, calculations, schedules, and reports.
- Supporting high-quality project delivery as part of the electrical team.
- Liaising with local authorities to secure project approvals and ensure regulatory compliance.
- Providing technical support for authority approvals on local and remote projects.
- Embedding health and safety principles in all work practices.
- Maintaining a broad understanding of other engineering disciplines.
If this role right for you
We Are Looking For Someone Who Has
- BEng/BSc (Hons) in Electrical Engineering or an equivalent degree, with a minimum of 8 years of post-graduate experience .
- Minimum 2 years of experience working on projects in the Middle East, particularly in the UAE and KSA, either in-country or from a remote design office.
- Passionate about implementing automation in design and delivery within a BIM environment.
- Highly motivated and willing to tackle new challenges
- Skilled in LV power system modeling (Amtech or similar), lighting design (Dialux, Relux), lightning protection (StrikeRisk), Generator sizing.
- Knowledge of British Standards, NEC, CIBSE, NFPA, UAE & KSA codes and local regulations.
- Experience of working in Multi-D environment and with good interface skills
