Job Title: Electrical Design Manager Power Distribution Transformers (Up to 132kV) Location: Dobaspet, Bangalore Open Positions: 2 Experience: 8-15 Years CTC Range: Up to 18 LPA (Based on experience and qualification) Note: Apply only if you have experience in transformer industry. Job Summary: We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Electrical Design Manager to lead the design and development of power distribution transformers up to 132kV. The ideal candidate will have 8 to 15 years of experience in transformer design and should be capable of independently handling the complete design cycle, leading a team of engineers, and ensuring adherence to quality, cost, and delivery standards. Key Responsibilities: Lead and manage transformer design activities from concept to final design approval. Prepare and validate electrical designs, GA drawings, bill of materials, and technical specifications for transformers up to 132kV. Ensure compliance with IS/IEC/ANSI standards, customer specifications, and utility norms. Coordinate with mechanical design, production, testing, quality, and marketing teams. Participate in customer technical discussions, approvals, and design validation. Evaluate and implement cost optimization measures without compromising quality. Conduct design reviews, technical audits, and continuous improvement initiatives. Provide technical mentorship to junior design engineers. Support in R&D for new product development and innovation. Required Qualifications and Skills: B.E./B.Tech in Electrical Engineering (M.E./M.Tech preferred). 8-15 years of hands-on experience in transformer design (distribution & power, up to 132kV). Strong understanding of electromagnetic design, short circuit strength, and thermal performance. Proficiency in using transformer design software (e.g., ELCAD, Maxwell, or equivalent). Knowledge of AutoCAD and relevant simulation tools. Strong interpersonal and team management skills. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
