Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for an Electrical Design Engineer specializing in Medium Voltage (MV) Switchgear. The position is based in the Greater Chennai Area. The role involves designing and developing electrical systems and components, preparing technical drawings and documentation, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with quality and performance standards. The engineer will also be responsible for optimizing power distribution systems and adhering to safety and regulatory guidelines.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in Electrical Design and Design Engineering principles
• Strong background in Electrical Engineering and knowledge of Electricity fundamentals
• Understanding of Power Distribution systems and components
• Knowledge of AutoCad and E-Plan
• Knowledge of Relevant IEC standards
• Problem-solving and critical-thinking skills for efficient and reliable system designs
• Ability to handle customer related enquiries for VCB, Isolator, RMU panels
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
• Prior experience in Medium Voltage Switchgear design or a related role is mandatory
