Electrical Design Engineer

We are seeking a senior-level Electrical Design Engineer with 810 years of proven experience to join our engineering team. This role combines traditional electrical design responsibilities with the application of our in-house automation tool to generate BOMs, perform QC, and streamline project delivery. The engineer will play a key role in interacting with customers to capture and validate inputs, ensure strict compliance with international and Indian standards, and deliver high-quality design outputs. The ideal candidate will also contribute technical leadership, mentor junior engineers, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to drive successful project execution.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop designs & documentation: SLD, Load Lists, Schematics, Cable Schedules, Earthing/Lighting layouts & BOQs & panel design (MCC, PCC, PLC) .
• Use in-house software to: Capture customer inputs, create projects, and generate BOMs (cable trays, earthing, lighting, layouts).
• The engineer will coordinate between customers and internal teams to clarify requirements, validate inputs, and oversee the creation of accurate outputs, while personally performing QC to ensure compliance with standards.
• Senior Electrical Design Engineer will act as a bridge between the customer and the internal team; ensuring inputs/outputs are clear, accurate, and verified.
• Guide and mentor the team in electrical design, calculations, and drafting, while reviewing deliverables to ensure quality, efficiency, and compliance with customer requirements and project standards.

Software Skills

• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, Dialux, and ETAP (or similar tools).

Technical Skills

• Hands-on experience in electrical design calculations (short-circuits, load flow, voltage drop, cable sizing, earthing, and lighting).
• Hands-on knowledge of panel design (MCC, PCC, PLC)
• Strong understanding of international and Indian electrical standards (IEC, IS, IEEE, IBR, NEC) and ability to apply them in design.
• Ability to review vendor documents and ensure technical compliance.

Communication Skills

• Strong communication, problem-solving skills, and quick understanding of project requirements.
• Positive working attitude, adaptability, and willingness to take ownership of tasks.

Qualifications

• BE/B.Tech/Diploma in Electrical Engineering.
• 8-10 years experience in electrical design for industrial plants / infrastructure

Preferred

• EPC/EPCM project experience (Oil & Gas, Power, Water/Wastewater).
• Exposure to AI/automation in electrical design.
• Experience in mentoring junior engineers and leading design deliverables.
