Electrical Design Engineer

Job Description

Role & responsibilities Prepare detailed Electrical drawings & BOM for residential commercial & Hotel projects using AutoCAD Develop and revise Electrical system layouts, schematics diagrams in compliance with project specifications and standards. Drawing Knowledge of SLD wire and cable routing diagram, panel layout, Earthing & lighting layout . System knowledge of transformer & power distribution conduct and cable tray layout . Good Understanding electrical Code NEC, IEC and Standards. Ensure accurate representation of architectural and structural elements in MEP drawings. Coordinate with architects, structural engineers, and other stakeholders to integrate MEP designs into overall project plans. Assist in resolving design conflicts and discrepancies between MEP systems and other building components. Maintain and update MEP documentation, including drawings, specifications, and schedules. Review and check MEP drawings for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with local codes and standards. Provide technical support during the construction phase, including responding to RFIs (Requests for Information) and updating drawings as required. Assist in the preparation of as-built drawings & Shop drawings at project completion. Ensure all designs comply with relevant industry standards, codes, and regulations. Stay updated with advancements in MEP drafting technologies and best practices. Preferred candidate profile Minimum of 3-7 years of experience in Electrical drafting & designing, preferably within a consultancy or construction environment. Proven experience in preparing Electrical drawings for residential, commercial & Hotel projects . Proficiency in AutoCAD & Revit Strong understanding of Electrical systems, circuit Theory, power distribution and load calculation, panel DB design, preparation electrical SLD. Ability to interpret architectural, structural & survey drawings Ability to create accurate and detailed shop drawings, instrumentation diagrams, and as-built drawings Maintaining technical documentation and project files for future reference and compliance purposes
