Job Description

Responsibilities:- Individual and Group Counseling: Conducting individual and group counseling sessions to address students' academic, personal, and social needs. Goal Setting and Planning: Assisting students in setting attainable academic and career goals, and developing plans to achieve them. Assessments: Administering and interpreting assessments (aptitude, personality, interest inventories) to understand students' strengths and weaknesses. Guidance and Support: Providing guidance on course selection, career planning, and college admissions. Developing Support Programs: Creating and implementing programs to support students' academic and personal development. Resource Provision: Providing students with resources and referrals to external organizations or professionals when needed. Collaboration: Working with faculty, teachers, and other educational support staff to identify and address student needs. Record Keeping: Maintaining accurate and confidential records of interactions with students. Skills: Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential for interacting with students, parents, and colleagues. Interpersonal Skills: The ability to build rapport with students and create a safe and supportive environment. Empathy and Listening Skills: The capacity to understand and empathize with students' concerns and challenges. Analytical Skills: The ability to analyze student information and identify areas for improvement. Problem-Solving Skills: The ability to help students overcome academic and personal challenges. Organizational Skills: The ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize responsibilities, and maintain accurate records. Knowledge of Educational Systems: Understanding the structure of the education system, including curriculum, assessment, and career pathways.
