Role Purpose
To teach Economics to secondary and senior secondary students (Classes IX–XII) as per CBSE curriculum, ensuring conceptual clarity, academic excellence, and holistic student development.
Key Responsibilities
1. Teaching & Classroom Instruction
- Teach Economics topics as per CBSE curriculum for Classes IX–XII.
- Plan and deliver lessons with clear learning outcomes and effective teaching methodology.
- Use innovative teaching techniques, real-life examples, and case studies to enhance learning.
- Prepare students for board exams with exam-oriented teaching strategies.
2. Academic Planning & Assessment
- Prepare lesson plans, question papers, worksheets, and assessment tools.
- Conduct formative and summative assessments as per CBSE norms.
- Evaluate answer scripts, maintain accurate academic records, and provide constructive feedback.
- Track student performance and implement improvement plans for weak learners.
3. Classroom Management
- Maintain discipline and ensure a positive, engaging classroom environment.
- Encourage inquiry-based learning and student participation.
- Handle mixed-ability classes effectively.
4. Student Development
- Guide students for academic competitions, Olympiads, and school events related to Economics.
- Mentor students on career options in Economics, Commerce & Humanities streams.
- Support students with projects, assignments, and CBSE practical components (if applicable).
5. Curriculum & Compliance
- Follow CBSE academic calendar, guidelines, and exam patterns.
- Prepare documentation for inspections, audits, and academic reviews.
- Participate in school events, staff meetings, and training programs.
6. Parent & School Coordination
- Conduct PTMs to brief parents on student progress.
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding student needs and performance.
- Cooperate with other subject teachers and school administration.

- Strong subject knowledge in Microeconomics, Macroeconomics, Indian Economy, Statistics.
- Good communication, presentation, and classroom management skills.
