Economics Teacher (International Curriculum)

As an Economics Teacher experienced in teaching International Curriculum such as IB/Cambridge, your key responsibilities will include delivering the curriculum effectively. This involves teaching Economics at Cambridge AS & A Level, planning engaging lessons aligned with the Cambridge International syllabus, and accommodating the diverse learning needs of students. Creating a classroom environment that promotes active learning, critical thinking, and intellectual curiosity is essential. In terms of assessment and evaluation, you will be responsible for designing various formative and summative assessments to track student progress. Providing constructive feedback to students, aiding in their academic growth, and preparing them for internal and external examinations will be part of your role. Additionally, offering individual support to students, conducting regular consultations to address academic challenges, and acting as a mentor to guide students in their academic and personal development are crucial aspects of this position. Collaboration with fellow teachers to ensure a cohesive learning experience, participation in faculty meetings, professional development activities, and school-wide events are expected. Sharing best practices, engaging in continuous professional development to remain updated with changes in the Cambridge curriculum and teaching methods is also required. The ideal candidate should hold a Masters or Bachelors degree in Economics, Business, or a related field. Prior experience in teaching Economics, preferably within the Cambridge framework, along with a deep understanding of the Cambridge International Economics curriculum and assessment methods, are essential qualifications for this role.,
