Economics Lecturer

Job Summary:

We are looking for a passionate and experienced Economics Lecturer to teach students at the Pre-University (PUC) level. The ideal candidate should have strong subject knowledge, effective teaching skills, and a student-focused approach. The role involves delivering the prescribed syllabus effectively, preparing students for board exams, and supporting their overall academic development.

Key Responsibilities:

• Teach Economics for 1st and 2nd PUC as per the Karnataka State PU Board curriculum.
• Prepare and deliver high-quality lectures, tutorials, and class discussions.
• Design lesson plans, assignments, and tests aligned with curriculum objectives.
• Monitor student performance through regular assessments and provide feedback.
• Prepare students for internal assessments, board examinations, and external academic competitions (if applicable).
• Maintain academic records including attendance and assessment data.
• Provide academic counseling and support to students as needed.
• Stay updated with current economic trends and integrate real-world examples into teaching.
• Collaborate with fellow faculty for curriculum development and other academic initiatives.
• Participate in staff meetings, parent-teacher interactions, and school events.

Qualifications:

• Minimum Education: Master’s Degree in Economics (M.A. Economics) from a recognized university.
• Preferred: B.Ed.
• Prior teaching experience at the PUC or higher secondary level is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with Karnataka PU Board syllabus and teaching practices.

Skills & Competencies:

• Strong communication and presentation skills.
• Excellent subject knowledge and classroom management.
• Ability to explain economic concepts in a clear, student-friendly manner.
• Proficiency in digital teaching tools and MS Office.
• Commitment to student success and continuous learning.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
