Job Description

Role Overview: As an Economic Analyst for North America (NAM) at the Mastercard Economics Institute (MEI), you will contribute to economic research and data analytics for the U.S. and Canada. Reporting to the VP, Lead Economist for North America, your responsibilities will include engaging in client and stakeholder interactions, collaborating with external partners, and generating actionable insights to support impactful economic storylines and visuals. You will synthesize analyses into clear recommendations, assist in report and client presentation creation, and enhance existing products while contributing to the development of new solutions. Proactively seeking new knowledge, efficiently structuring project work, and participating in thought leadership activities will be key to continuously improving the quality and productivity of economic research initiatives. Key Responsibilities: - Engage in client and stakeholder interactions - Collaborate with external partners - Generate actionable insights to support impactful economic storylines and visuals - Synthesize analyses into clear recommendations - Assist in the creation of reports and client presentations - Enhance existing products and contribute to the development of new solutions - Proactively seek new knowledge - Efficiently structure project work - Participate in thought leadership activities Qualifications Required: - Bachelor's degree in Economics, Statistics, or Mathematics - Strong background in statistical modeling, quantitative analysis, and data engineering, particularly in economic research - Proficiency in SQL and Hadoop - Expertise in statistical packages such as R, Python, and Tableau - Knowledge of JavaScript for data visualization is advantageous - Experience in financial services would be beneficial Additional Company Details: N/A,
