Echocardiography Technician

Core Responsibilities

• Patient Care:Prepares patients for procedures, ensures their comfort and safety, and explains the echocardiogram process to address any concerns.
• Equipment Operation:Operates and maintains ultrasound equipment, ensuring its proper working condition.
• Image Acquisition:Captures high-quality images of the heart's structures and functions using ultrasound technology.
• Data Analysis:Analyzes ultrasound data and prepares preliminary reports for review by a cardiologist or other physician.
• Documentation:Maintains accurate and detailed records of patient examinations, including imaging results, patient history, and other relevant information.
• Team Collaboration:Works closely with cardiologists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care and support diagnostic decisions.
• Safety and Protocols:Adheres to all safety and infection control protocols to maintain a safe environment for patients and staff.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Education:An Associate's degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or a related health science field is often required.
• Certification:Certification from a recognized body, such as the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS), is often preferred.
• Technical Skills:Proficiency in operating and adjusting state-of-the-art ultrasound equipment.
• Anatomical Knowledge:A strong understanding of cardiac anatomy, pathology, and physiology is essential.
• Soft Skills:Excellent communication, interpersonal skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment are crucial.
• Record-Keeping:Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems for managing patient data.

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
